What I’ve Bought

This is a review of the clothes that I have bought recently, online and in store. I’ll link everything below and provide an honest opinion on my purchases.

For the first time in my life, I spent more than £15 on jeans. I have always gone to Primark for my jeans, I particularly liked their black high waisted pair with the button front. but I decided it was time to branch out and look for a pair that would last a bit longer. So whilst looking in river island, which I never do, I tried on a pair of Casey high waist slim legs in 16XS, which is just 16 petite. they are the best jeans I have ever put on. I fell in love in that changing room, I will never go back to Primark jeans. When I got these I wore them every day for a month, ew gross I know, and they hold their shape really well even after a couple washes. I LOVE these.

River Island Casey Jeans £42

My latest purchase was again a pair of jeans. these were actually in the sale which was amazing. I got these jeans from H&M when I realised I wanted a pair similar to my Casey jeans. They’re a faded black jean with embroidery down the sides which comes up onto the front and backs. Unfortunately, I didn’t realise before purchasing that the embroidery actually closes up the back pockets, much to my dismay as that’s usually where I put my phone. I’m not going to return them though because they are so cute. I really like the cut of them, they’re tight but still comfy when I sit down and they’re long enough that I can wear them either rolled or unrolled, unlike the Casey jeans which are almost cropped. I have to style these slightly different to the Casey jeans because the black pair aren’t as high waisted but I still wear them a lot.

Embroidered Jeans £17.99

I don’t usually shop in Marks and Spencer, mainly because their clothes aren’t generally designed which my age bracket in mind, however, I think that M&S provide fantastic quality so I will look there for things like coats and bags all the time. my mum has always been a keen M&S shopper so I trust them completely. So whilst popping in to get dinner on the way home the other day I decided to just browse the coat racks. and there was this beautiful bright red padded jacket. I had been looking at NEXT’s version of this jacket the same day but decided that they were too expensive. but this M&S jacket was only £25 but doesn’t have a hood, not ideal but a price I’m willing to pay. Plus it comes in three colours, red, blue and black!

Padded Jacket £25

My next two items are both from New Look. The first is cropped, dusty pink shirt. This item is very much on trend, from the shape to the large tortoiseshell buttons, this is a piece you will see everywhere so if you’re looking for a more unique style this isn’t for you. I really like this shirt because its a nice floaty material so it’s very forgiving and also nice and cool on those warmer days leading into summer. Be careful what you wash this shirt with though because mine has turned a slightly greyer shade after going in the wash with black pants. It is something I wear quite a lot with my high waisted jeans but I look forward to wearing this with denim shorts or a little white skirt when the weather gets better.

Boxy Shirt £15.99

The last item is this pair of green joggers. They’re the shape of joggers but they’re polyester so they have more of a light silky feel. the material is thin which does mean that the pocket outline can be visible on the leg but that doesn’t bother me too much. These are the comfiest trousers I have bought in a while. They are nice a flattering and they just provide a more casual option whilst not being actual jog bottoms. I like to wear them when I’m nipping out the shops or at the beach. I’m very pleased will this purchase.

Khaki Joggers £17.99

Marc Jacobs Decadence perfume

This perfume is one of my absolute favourites. My partner didn’t really like this at first but once I wore it a couple of times she got used to it. It’s a nice rich scent, sometimes a bit much for a summery day, so I am on the hunt for a lighter scent for when it gets warmer, but Decadence is absolutely perfect for going out of an evening this time of year, I just love it.

Rimmel London Nude Eyeshadow palette

I’ve only ever really had one eyeshadow palette before, which is so old I don’t even know the name! It’s a palette from Urban Decay. I adore this palette but I’ve had it for a long time so I wanted to update my collection seeing as I wear eyeshadow quite a lot now. I feel like eyeshadow has definitely come back into fashion. I remember at school people wouldn’t be caught dead with eyeshadow on but now its all the rage again! Anyway, I bought this palette from Rimmel. It’s a nude palette, they do a couple of these with slightly different shades. But I chose this one because these were the kinds of shades I was using in the UD one before. And I think they’re brill. There is a nice mix of glittery and matte shades which I like. However, sometimes I do get a lot of fallout from the glittery shades and a couple of the Matt shades aren’t super pigmented so you have to keep going in to get a good colour but I do really like the shades in this palette.

L’Oreal Paris cleansing wash

I went a little bit crazy over the last couple of months trying out some new skin care products and honestly, this is one of the few that made the cut. It’s not too exciting, it doesn’t smell much of anything and it doesn’t do anything extraordinary but it just does its job; it washes my face. I’ve been wearing more makeup recently so I needed something to make sure my face was super clean to stop me from breaking out and so far so good.

The Body Shop Banana hair mask

This mask is to die for. The scent is heavenly, it smells just like the little banana sweets you get in pick’n’mix.

I recently dyed my hair so I was looking out for a good hair mask just to save the ends. I don’t get my hair cut nearly as often as I should so I want to avoid split ends at all costs.

The instructions on the tub say to run it through damp hair and let it sit for a bit, then wash out. But the lady at the till suggested to put it through dry hair when you’re chilling at home because dry hair absorbs the oils better. I haven’t tried that out yet but I’ll let you know when I do!

I’ve only used the mask a couple times but I’ve already noticed a difference! Normally after dying, my hair is so frazzled but it still feels pretty silky which is amazing! I would 100% recommend, plus it’s vegan!

Welcome to my Blog!

Hi everyone,

This is the very first post on my blog, Yay. As you can see I don’t have much content on here at the moment, this is a brand new adventure for me. But I’m very excited to have a base for all of the content I want to share with you guys. This is a space for me to tell you about everything that I am loving at the minute including beauty products, clothes and homewares. This is also the place I will upload my ‘how to’ guides on any DIY projects I do, so look out for those!

I cannot wait to get started!

Lots of love
